Overview
A lightweight attendance and field-logging web app built for a distributed crew that needed PIN-based sign-in, verified GPS timestamps, and zero recurring software costs.
The Challenge
The team was tracking field attendance on paper and stitching it into spreadsheets by hand. Sign-in times were unreliable, edits went untracked, and every off-the-shelf tool quoted a monthly per-seat fee that dwarfed the value it added.
The Approach
I built a PIN-authenticated web app backed by Google Sheets as the single source of truth. Each check-in captures a GPS-verified timestamp, writes straight to the sheet, and stamps the record so entries cannot be quietly rewritten after the fact.
